Casa Rosario is a lovely two-room apartment on the first floor of a 1930s “palazzina”.
It consists of a large, airy and bright bedroom with a double bed (160x200), a kitchen-living room with a sofa bed (120x205) which can accommodate 1 or 2 additional guests, a bathroom with large shower and plenty of natural light and a balcony, typical of the building of the time, which takes up the entire layout and is accessible from both the bedroom and the kitchen-living room.
You will enjoy a stunning view of the beautiful church of San Francesco Saverio, giving the house directly on the square with the same name.
In the evening you can admire the light of the sunset sipping an aperitif on the balcony, in the morning, while having breakfast, just watch the passers-by of the bric-a-brac market taking place on the square in front.
Casa Rosario can accommodate up to 4 adult persons for short stays, for longer stays we recommend a maximum occupancy of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children/teenagers. NEW!!! From now on you can rent together with Casa Rosario also the tiny flat on the basement Casa Sarino (given the availabilty) if you are more than 4 persons or just want to have more space, in this case we will offer you avery special price! The flat was recently renovated and completely restored following criteria of respect of the traditions and sustainability. It has been decorated and furnished with creativity and a touch of irony, up cycled objects next to modern and efficient appliances, nostalgic charm next to practical, space-saving solutions. Particular attention has been payed to the equipment of the kitchen, where you will find everything but just everything you need to cook even complex menus.
The immediate proximity of the historic market of Ballaró, in fact, with its incredible offer of food, unbeatable for freshness, quality and price, invites you to express yourself in the kitchen! Even at Casa Rosario, as it is tradition of Casavacanze Almerico, you will always find a small assortment of basic ingredients such as pasta, olive oil, vinegar, salt, sugar, herbs and spices for your cooking and Italian coffee and various tees for your breakfast or for your moments of relax. If you do not have the time or desire to cook, the market also offers a wealth of opportunities to buy or consume all the specialities of the legendary palermitan street-food. In the evening you have at your disposal an excellent pizzeria directly on the piazza and, in the nearby alley a tiny restaurant offering delicious typical Sicilian food. The apartment is not only a perfect location for visiting Palermo, with the Stazione Centrale and the Bus Station a stone’ thrown away is also an ideal base for exploring its beautiful surroundings or for short trips to the other Sicilian cities. The Cathedral, San Giovanni degli Eremiti, all the most important monuments of the Itinerario Arabo-Normanno are all easily reachable on foot, with a walk through the alleys of the città vecchia in a little while...or in a long while! It depends on how easily you will get distracted by the surprises every corner of this town has to offer which sometimes make lose sight of the initial goal.... just get lost in the old Palermo!
