Within walking distance are all the monuments of the Itinerario arabo-normanno and all places of interest. Casa Sarino is the perfect stay for the single-traveller, for a parent travelling with child, for the budget conscious young couple who does not want to renounce to the comfort and the privacy of a own tiny home.
It is also the ideal complement of the apartment above, Casa Rosario, it can be rented as its dependence if you are a group of more than 4 persons, if you just wish to have more space and private sphere or if you want to give your children travelling with you the emotion and adventure of a real little home all for them whilst you enjoy the luxury of the calm and privacy upstairs in Casa Rosario.
Casa Sarino was born as “Stanza dello scirocco” a cool room in penumbra, a shelter from the heat and the dazzling light of the Palermo summer. It has been lovingly restored and modernized till to make a perfect tiny home of just 10sqm, still equipped with all of the comforts and amenities you may need for a comfortable stay. The door opens directly onto the kitchenette, small but complete with all appliances and utensils for cooking delicious meals prepared with the fabulous ingredients from the nearby historical market of Ballarò, unbeatable for quality and price. A peg-ladder leads to the mezzanine where you will find the night area with the bed (120x200) a wall bedside table and a light for reading. Returning to the „ground-floor“you will find the wardrobe and a shelf with plenty of space for storing your things, so you may keep your tiny studio always well ordered. On the wall opposite has been created the lunch/work area with space saving furnishing solutions which can be folded against the wall with one simple gesture. A curtain hides a niche for the cleaning utensils, among which a brilliant mini washing-machine! It follows the bathroom area with sink, WC and a modern, spacious and comfortable shower. A romantic ceiling-fan cools the place in summer and a small but highly effective halogen –stove guarantees a warm and cosy place during the short but often cold Palermo winter. Ventilation is assured by a window which is also the main source of natural day-light.
Upon arrival you will find as complimentary fresh fruit and mineral water. A first supply of basic cooking ingredients like pasta, olive oil, salt, sugar, herbs and spices is tradition in all the Almerico homes and belongs to our service just as well as coffee, tea and different infusions. Detergent and other article of the daily needs are also provided. In the book shelf you will find informative material about Palermo and leaflets or visits cards of restaurants pr services which we recommend.
